Naming Rights to the Rose JALstrawberry
About the rose:
Bred as a blend of Sunny Sky x Our Anniversary, this lovely hybrid tea rose starts as a tightly pointed bud that opens to a classic rose bloom. Lengthy stems end in single mid-size blooms, making it an excellent cut flower.
The growth habit is robust, tall, and upright in a slight v-shape due to the Sunny Sky parentage. Each elegant flower displays a unique and gentle color blend that moves from strawberry red to warm cream at the base. The shades deepen in heat, and the petals hold a chic sheen against highly glossed foliage for a fantastically flashy look.
This rose presents a subtle fragrance that mixes notes of vanilla, sweet violets, and tea citrus, and it reblooms all season long. She thrives in zones 5–9, and she has survived many hard winters (even in pots) that often kill other types of roses. She also maintained above-average health in no-spray trials in both Vancouver, BC, and Ontario, Canada, where she was propagated before returning to us.
